How long will my stay be?
The length of stay for everyone is different based on their individual circumstances. However, our average length of stay for short stay rehab admissions is less than 30 days.
How much will it cost me?
If you are a Medicare beneficiary, Medicare Part A covers 100% of your stay for the first 20 days of your inpatient stay. There is a copay dictated by Medicare beyond 20 days, however we accept most supplemental insurance plans which often means no out of pocket expense to you for a short term stay.
When will I start my rehabilitation therapy?
Depending on the time of day you are admitted you will be seen by a therapist the same day. Our team will do everything possible to ensure there is no delay in beginning the process of your recovery.
Will I be seen by a doctor?
You will be seen by an MD within a few days of your admission. Additionally, we have a Nurse Practitioner onsite that will see you more frequently as needed.
Will my medications change?
We will follow the orders received from the hospital you arrive from or from your admitting Physician if arriving from the community. At the time of admission, we will review your medications with you and if there are concerns or discrepancies we will work together to be sure you are taking the medications that are right for you.
Do you have staff around the clock?
Yes. We have Licensed Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants around the clock who will sure your individual needs are being met 24 hours per day.
I have a food allergy or I am a vegetarian; will you be able to accommodate my needs?
Yes. Our Dietary services team will meet with you upon admission to review your needs and develop a meal plan that is right for you. We will also review likes and dislikes to ensure we are doing the most we can to meet your preferences for meals each day.
I plan on going home and using the services of a home health provider. Do you work with any that will assist with the transition from your facility to home?
Yes. We work closely with many local agencies and our discharge planning department will coordinate your care and services with the home health agency of your choice (if you have a preference) or with one that will best meet your individual needs.
I have special equipment needs at home, will you be able to assist me in getting the equipment that I need?
Yes. Our discharge planning department will take every step possible to ensure you have the right device you need to be successful at home. Our therapy team will evaluate your need and ensure you are able to use that device safely once you return home.
If I have trouble at home with meeting my own needs after being discharged from home, do I need to go back to the hospital?
In many cases you can return to our facility within 30 days of your stay. Call our Admissions or Social Services Department in the event you feel that you may need to extend your stay. We will evaluate your situation and make the best recommendation for your success.
I just have general questions about your services.
